[edit] 2008 proposals
- Project online schedule so that those without computers can always find out what's going on.
- Anytime every participant is likely attend something, please schedule it far in advance. This interfered with our attempt to hold a Sunday session on 3 separate occasions (morning session, android picture, closing early).
- I found it quite hard to find several of the conference rooms initially, and it took most of Saturday for me to build an accurate mental map of the first and second floors. Putting posters with the maps and "You are here" indicators at all intersections might help. (Maps with red "you are here" stickers and all the conf rooms were posted on walls at numerous locations. Perhaps just emphasizing their existence would help? - dberkholz)
- See if you can give Domain residents access to the Wild Palms' wifi for social events.
- Tell people about the luggage storage available at the Googleplex on the last day so they don't store their luggage at the hotel as I did.
- Keep in mind that nearly half of the audiance (40%? 30%? 50%?) are not native English speakers and keep both speed and slang at a low level.
- GSOC nametags too low - Tie a knot in the cord. Problem solved.
- Very long lunch queue - Converted to a dual pipeline. Problem solved.
